What is Khalsen?
An app that keeps track of money you spend with friends: trips, shared flats, dinners. It works out who owes whom, so nobody has to do the math.
Do my friends need to download it?
No. Add a friend by name, or send them the bill’s link: they pick what they had and see what they owe right in their browser. The app makes it easier for everyone, but it isn’t required.
How do friends pick their own items?
Scan the receipt, tap Share and send the link on WhatsApp or anywhere. Each friend taps what they had, and service and VAT are shared by what each person had. You see who has picked as it happens.
Can I share a bill with friends?
Yes. Tap Share on any bill and send the link. Friends see the items, the receipt photos, what each person owes and who has paid back, even without the app.
Does Khalsen take or send money?
No. Khalsen only keeps the numbers. You pay each other the way you normally do, by InstaPay or cash, then mark it as paid.
Can I use it without internet?
Yes. Add bills anywhere. They’re saved on your phone and sent when you’re back online.
Can I use it when I travel?
Yes. Each bill can be in any currency, so a trip abroad works the same way.
Who can see my bills?
Only the people in the same group. If you share a bill’s link, anyone with it can see that one bill, never your email, phone number or other bills.
